Congressman Greg Murphy, a representative of North Carolina’s 3rd District, has been vocal about national issues through a series of tweets dated March 27, 2025. Representing Greenville, Murphy has taken a stance on education, regulatory policies, and healthcare fraud.

"For decades, China has been infiltrating American universities in a coordinated effort to hijack and influence the education of future generations. I voted YES for the DETERRENT Act to fight against Beijing’s attacks on our college campuses." Murphy expressed his concerns about foreign influence in education, highlighting his support for the DETERRENT Act as a measure to protect U.S. academic institutions from external manipulations.

"House Republicans are working hard to reverse excessive government regulation that eliminates consumer choice and raises costs. I voted YES to reverse two Biden-era rules that imposed burdensome energy efficiency standards on refrigerators and freezers." Through this tweet, Murphy conveyed his position on reversing regulations that he believes negatively impact consumer autonomy and financial costs, touching on recent actions by House Republicans.

"How do you get diabetic retinopathy when you don’t have diabetes? The answer is you can’t. But ask United healthcare. They billed Medicare for them. Medicare advantage plans are defrauding the taxpayer for hundreds of billions of dollars every year. #StopMAFraud." In his third tweet, Murphy accused Medicare Advantage plans of fraud, suggesting that healthcare insurance issues require urgent attention to prevent taxpayer exploitation.
