Greg Murphy criticizes Obama; honors Pearl Harbor victims; supports military housing act

Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D., representing North Carolina’s 3rd district, has been active on social media, sharing his views on various political and historical matters. In a series of tweets, he addressed topics ranging from political criticism to commemorating historical events and supporting legislative initiatives.

On December 6, 2024, Congressman Murphy criticized former President Barack Obama and the Democratic Party. He accused them of using government power against the American people and fostering racial division. "BS @BarackObama. You and your party have weaponized government against the American people for too long. Pushing Racial division and attacking people who disagreed with you. Quite Rich"

The following day, December 7, 2024, Murphy paid tribute to those affected by the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941. He emphasized the importance of remembering those who lost their lives and acknowledged the sacrifices made by veterans and service members. "On December 7th, 1941, more than 3,500 American troops and civilians were killed or wounded in the attack on Pearl Harbor. Let us remember those who lost their lives and recognize that freedom is not free. Thank you to our veterans and service members for sacrificing so much."

On December 8, 2024, Congressman Murphy expressed his support for a bipartisan initiative aimed at improving living conditions for military personnel. He joined Representative Joe Courtney in advocating for the Healthy at Home on Base Act to address mold issues in military housing. "I am proud to join @RepJoeCourtney in advocating for the bipartisan Healthy at Home on Base Act, which will improve the living conditions for our service members and tackle the unacceptable mold problem in military housing."
